The creative cookie makers: Daniel, David, and JonathanToday, the 30th of August, 2007, we are celebrating one year of staddonfamily.com! We would like to take this time to express our gratefulness to Robert for designing and manintaining our site. We would also like to thank all of you who have motivated us with your comments and we praise Lord Jesus Christ for giving us a purpose worth living for and writing about!

They all deserve a ribbonUnknown to the contestants, a year-in-review contest was underway! We would now like to announce the winners. (Drum roll please!) We begin this celebration by giving special acknowledgement to the one who wrote the very first post ever… JAMES! Secondly, the author of the shortest post is… ROBERT! Third, our longest post was by… DONALD! Fourth, the individual we received the most comments from outside of our family was… JOSHUA WILKES! And last but not least is the post with the most comments: A Trip to Paradise.

The purpose for our family blog helps us fulfill the part of our family goal of glorifying God by working as a family to help other families, churches, cities, and nations to reestablish God’s creation-designs in their jurisdictions. Thank you all for visiting!

We appreciate you!

Hooray!!! Three cheers for all of our faithful posters and commentators! Congratulations Donald, James, and Josh on your novel accomplishments! Wonderful post, Esther! 🙂

WOW I can’t believe a year has already gone by since you all started!
Thank you for all the wonderful encouragment you have given through this blog and for passing the vision on to us!

Wow! It sure is hard to believe it has been a year already. Now that I have had a little experience posting, I hope to do a lot more of it during our blog’s second year. Looking forward to all that God will do in that time! Yes, thank you everyone.

Woops! I forgot to check the name slot when I made that last comment…it was actually me.

    Um, that is, Daniel. 🙂

I liked your blue ribbon James! Great photography! They were all good.

  7. Esther August 31, 2007 at 10:34 am #

Thanks for all your comments! It was a team effort for sure. Jonathan did all the research to find the winners, James took the time to get the pictures, and everyone gave their ideas for the different catagories and helped edit and revise the post. I’m not sure why it ended up under my name!

What a creative idea! This morning I was studying the importance of understanding the ’cause’ or ‘reason’ for our faith. Over this past year, your blog has given reason for the hope that lies within each of you. To God be the glory for the great things He hath done, is doing, and will continue to do through you. We look forward to year #2!

Getting the post up on time created a rather interesting day: Jonathan and David threw together the batch of cookies, I ran around getting pictures and putting them together, and Esther exercised her fingers typing up the post so it would be ready to pass the family council at dinner. Way to go, everyone; it rolled off the press just on time!

Wow, I must say that I’m looking forward to year number two as well! Isn’t it thrilling to see how many post-worthy events the Heavenly Father brings for us over the course of a year? “. . . And thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not” (Isaiah 58:11b).
