A Trip to Paradise
I recently returned from a 5-day trip to Guadalajara, Mexico! It was my first time in Mexico and the 70° weather was a nice change from Chicago’s chilly winter winds.
As I understand it, temperatures are idealistic all year long in the beautiful Lake Chapala area where we stayed. IBLP’s beautiful Guadalajara Training Center property was formerly known as “Paradise”, and now I can certainly understand why! The warm sunny days with soft cool breezes whispering through the palm trees reminded me of Florida in the springtime.
The purpose for our visit was business, not pleasure, however. I was traveling as an assistant to Dr. Bill Gothard, who had invited Dr. Stephen Paine, Dr. John Stancil, and Dr. Roger Billica to come down and review a powerful natural remedy that is being used in a Guadalajara clinic. The developers have offered to allow IBLP to use it at their Total Health Conferences.
The panel of doctors asked questions, viewed x-rays, and listened in amazement as patient after patient shared testimony of how this natural remedy had started the healing process where traditional medicine failed. It was incredible! The doctors were very impressed. Evidently there is a certain combination of electrolytes, minerals, or nutrients in this product that greatly boosts the immune system and restores key deficiencies that are causing serious diseases in many people.
Dr. Billica, an expert in functional medicine, is currently studying it further and we are looking forward to seeing how this product can possibly be used in the future to bring healing to the hurting.
Realizing the potential of this product made the trip a very exciting and worthwhile one for me. The trip wasn’t only health-centered, though. One day we stopped beside the road for ice cream. 🙂 Mr. Phariss, the director of IBLP Mexico, Dr. Gothard, and Dr. Stancil posed for a quick shot.
“God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah. That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.” Psalm 67:1-2
Robert, from what I can tell, the Lord blessed your trip. I hope this is true and that God will expand Dr. Gothard’s ministry through it as well. I am also glad you were able to visit the Mexico Training Center.
That’s great, Robert! I really like the picture of Dr. Gothard and the rest with ice-cream. Very fun! I’m really thankful the Lord blessed your trip.
Thanks for the comments! The Lord really did bless the trip. And the ice cream was a fun stop. Dr. Stancil insisted on treating everybody to some ice cream and, of course, Mr. Gothard couldn’t turn down ice cream! Anyone want to guess what Mr. Gothard’s favorite flavor of ice cream is?
Exquisite! The Guadalajara training center is absolutely stunning. I did not realize it was that well maintained. I look forward to hearing more about the natural remedy. Hmmmmmm, now regarding the ice cream, I’ll venture a guess that it is ‘Cookies and Cream.’
Chocolate?
Sherbet?
Donald’s probably right since he’s spent time at headquarters, but based on the picture I’ll guess strawberry.
I’ll guess Butter Pecan?
mint chocolate chip
Great guesses all around! This afternoon, as I was munching on celery and chunky peanut butter (Mr. Gothard loves chunky peanut butter!), I asked the important question. 🙂 I know Mr. Gothard really likes Strawberry so your guess was close, Esther (looking at the picture was a very clever idea). But Micaela got it right. Congratulations Micaela! You were evidently very observant during your time at HQ. Mint Chocolate Chip is the correct answer (the white kind preferable over the green kind). Thanks for participating, everyone, and have a great night!
Uh-hum. That’s just what I was going to guess! Wow, what a coincidence. 🙂
