Better is the Ending . . .

It happens that on his way through a chapter of Ecclesiastes, James is engrafting the famous verse:

“Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof …” (Ecclesiastes 7:8a).

Here in Korea, the past two months have been very profitable and all of us on the team appreciate your prayers very much. A practical guide to the wealth of character illustrations found in Scripture is coming together. The format has been streamlined and finalized. One thousand four hundred and seventy specific Biblical examples have been selected, reviewed and edited. Last but not least, of the two-hundred forty-five pictures to be placed alongside the text, I have only fifty-five left to find. I am overjoyed! So much work has been invested in this project and we are about to put it away. How much we praise our Heavenly Father for the patience, persistence and peace He is giving in the process of seeing the work through, from beginning to ending.

I hope I may one day have the chance to show you this powerful book in person, in print!

It doesn't seem like long ago that James and I sat down to draft the book . . . . . . but after seven weeks of editing and design work . . .. . . the finished product is in sight.

Today was a landmark day. Between the four of us we finished selecting the last nineteen pictures, edited about fifty others, actually inserted eighty (sixteen qualities) in the book, and put in about four hundred twenty paragraphs of text. We praise the Lord and thank you for supporting us from afar with your prayers.
