United with a Purpose
We had no idea what the Lord had in store for the weekend as we rounded the bend and the Wilkes little farm house came into view. Not 15 min. later the Neely Team rounded the same bend and our three families were joyfully united once again. United with a purpose – To encourage families who are seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.
Despite the challenges of limited time, lack of sleep, and attacks on the health of key members of the team, this purpose was accomplished in the strength of the Lord.
I was personally encouraged to seek the Lord with my whole heart and keep my focus throughout the day on Him instead of my to-do list. Our family was motivated to pursue home businesses, amazed as we watched God answer prayer, encouraged when we heard about spiritual needs being met, encouraged by seeing and visiting so many like-minded brothers and sisters in Christ, encouraged to keep studying for the Bible Bee, and inspired as we saw and experienced energetic team work!
You can’t beat a weekend like that! Praise the Lord for so many families who are willing to embrace Biblical principles and live with a purpose!
What a glorious time it was!! Praise the Lord, from Whom all blessings flow!! It truly was a blessed time of fellowship and exhortation. Thanks for posting, Esther!! We’re looking forward to all that the Lord has in store in the future!
Purpose! It is amazing how life changes when you grab on to the purpose God has for you and unite with others of like mind to carry it out. May the vision continue to spread! Praise the Lord for such an encouraging report, Esther.
That was indeed quite a weekend. It was very encouraging indeed! The Lord knew just what I needed.
I was wondering who would be the first to post a blog article 🙂
Will more pictures be posted?
I appreciate all the families who came and encouraged us. It is a thrill to see all that God is doing in your lives! We read Psalm 90 yesterday, which is my desire: “…Let Thy work appear unto Thy servants, and Thy glory unto their children. And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish Thou the work of our hands…”
