Israel: Election Day

These are important days for Israel. And who wouldn’t agree that it’s an incredible time in history for us all! Whether for the sake of those around us or for the Lord in quiet prayer, our voice of support for Israel has the potential for great influence.

My normal “posting day” isn’t until Thursday but when I learned that this was Israel’s Election Day, Tuesday, February 10, I knew you all would want to know. Visit this site for a timetable. We should pray for every vote in the election process to be undisturbed and that the nation’s new leadership would be like “the children of Issachar”: “that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do …” (I Chronicles 12:32).

Another site worth checking for updates is Joel Rosenberg’s weblog. How grateful I am to those who are working to bring accurate reports Decisiveness: the ability to finalize difficult decisions based on the will and ways of God. Do you know how you would vote if you were in Israel right now? about the things which concern God’s people.
The Lord reward all who pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Hey, everyone! I’m terribly sorry about how inconsistant I have been with posts and comments, but it sure has been a real joy to invest the time in the IBLP Valentines Banquet instead. As I type, the final pictures of all 18 couples which we took tonight are printing! Their framed portraits will be ready by the time they leave. Can’t wait to post more about it! – James

Don’t worry James! It sounds like you have your priorities right. And it’s never too late to pray for Israel. On the 18th (Wednesday) the new Prime Minister will be announced. Let’s remember to pray often for our own Commander in Chief, Obama, as well.
