Preparations for a Most Elegant Event
If you have never been a part of the annual IBLP Valentines Banquet, than you are really missing out! But why should you? I guess that’s why I’m posting this; so you can experience just a taste of what all goes on
here at Headquarters for this very special event! Tonight, most of the single staff showed up to help prepare for tomorrow evening’s banquet.
This most elegant event is hosted for select couples who are now playing vital roles in structure of IBLP: from Board Members and Training Center Directors, to supporters of the ministry and parents of dedicated staff members. As a way of showing our appreciation for the tireless work they have poured into the ministry, preparations for the banquet are tedious, intricate, and thoroughly refined.
I’m glad to be on the photography team. Tomorrow I’ll be an assistant to the portrait photographer, but tonight my assignment was to get good shots of the preparations. For the staff, preparing is as much fun as the actual banquet! Here are a few of the pictures from tonight and I can’t wait to post more tomorrow of the real thing!
What a banquet! Those couples must feel very special. Looks like fun, too. I hope the portraits go well!
My, you sure captured what must of been a very fun evening. There was a few giggles as we browsed through the photos. Looking forward to the complete report. What a great way to show honor where honor is due!
What a great way to celebrate Valentine’s Day! Here, the ladies on staff drew names to be each other’s “Hidden Honeys” for the two weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day. Every day we left notes or gifts for each other and then yesterday we revealed who each other’s Hidden Honeys were over breakfast at IHOP. For the time it lasted, it was a great chance to encourage and be encouraged as we went about our daily lifes.
Way to go team! That really is a wide range of projects to work on and it looks like everyone is tackling their part. Needless to say it must be great to be the photographer.
James, how amazing to think of so many young people using their free time to serve others in such a delightful way. The entire team is certainly not despising their youth, but rather are being a great example of the believers (I Tim 4:12)
