Mighty Knights!

{knights} Engaged in warfareToday David and I decided that it would be really exciting to dress up like knights. So we got a lot of cardboard and made helmets, shields, a battleaxe and a spear. Then we went downstairs and pretended to fight a great big battle! In the fighting that ensued, David got wounded but I came and rescued him right before the bad guys took the city. Then David and I assembled a huge army and recaptured it for ever. Creativity sure is better than being a couch potato!

The excitement going on in the house today made for a rather dangerous atmosphere! I must admit I came a little too close to losing my head a few times. I am amazed at Jon and Dave’s creativity and ingenuity. By the way, I simply couldn’t stop laughing at imagining a potato comfortably situated in a nice big lazy-boy chair!

    Jonathan and David,

Very realistic! I was amazed when I first saw you in the kitchen. Never a dull moment 🙂

It was also a reminder that we need to play Knights and Cities soon. We haven’t played since Robert left!

Your entry gave us a great idea of a way to enhance the dirty sock game we play with the kids we are babysitting down here! The game is kind of like a relaxing snow ball fight. 🙂 You just sit in a chair and return the dirty socks and bibs that the boys throw over the chair at you and say “Ewwwww, yuck!!!!” So anyway, we made a dirty sock machine mask for the sock thrower. Thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks Kenan! It was a lot of fun to play with David. That’s really neat that you made some too! Can’t wait until we get together so we can play with them. Keep building relationships with your brothers.
