Turn the Tide

“Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.” (Psalm 80:7)

It is a joy to sing with Esther! The Lord gave us this verse as a rhema for the song Turn the Tide that Esther and I have been learning as a duet. Whether the Lord moves miraculously to bring revival to our nation as a whole, or whether He chooses to work through a smaller remnant of believers, every time we sing this song as a prayer to the Lord that I am confident He will answer.

Last Sunday Robert & Kendalyn invited us to sing Turn the Tide at their church. That morning in my regular Bible reading I happened to read 2 Chronicles 5:13-14:

“It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord; So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.”

The Lord is answering our prayer!

Amen Daniel! I am so thrilled to see how God is answering. All around the world God is revealing His plan to so many of His people, all at the same time, and quite independent of each other! It is the same plan He has always had, and “hidden in plain sight” in the Bible, and quite opposite of my natural thinking. And the best part is, we are putting it into practice.
