Cousin Dave Gets Married!

David and Elspeth

Last Saturday our family had the joy of attending the wedding of David and Elspeth! Both have attended the same church for many years and have known each other ever since they can remember. It was a beautiful wedding!

Grandparents and Aunt EvelynGrandpa & Grandma Brannon and Aunt Evelyn drove up to Pennsylvania with us and made the trip quite enjoyable.

Dave and Elspeth had asked Daniel, Esther, Chris and I to do all the music for the wedding and we enjoyed it immensely!

Our wonderful cousins (photo from Tricia)We were blessed by Uncle Wayne and Aunt Judy’s wonderful hospitality amidst the added adventure of having their well suddenly go dry! With Uncle Wayne and Aunt Judy’s perseverance, Uncle Tim and Aunt Melba putting us up for one night, and a few showers down at the YMCA, we all survived the drought just fine. 🙂

Memories: Shooting Arrows at Sportsman's LakeDave’s wedding causes me to reflect on all the fun memoriesMemories: Ready! Aim! Fire! David leads the cannonade at Valley Forge I have of Dave growing up. We spent many fine summers together at Big Bear Lake Camplands, Sportsman’s Lake, our Grandparents Memories: A Classic Monopoly Game (I think I'm winning this one!)home, Philadelphia, Yorktown, and many other memorable places. Through every escapade and Memories: Pretending we're enjoying ice cream cones :)adventure, Dave has proved to be a faithful and caring friend as well as a fun-loving competitor.

I am extremely happy for Dave as he starts this new chapter in his life. We pray the Lord’s rich blessing on him and Elspeth in the years ahead!

Two Shall Become One

P.S. On the way home we stopped in Virginia and enjoyed a fantastic 20 hours with the Wilkes family!

This was the first time since I was around 6 or 7 that I had ever even attended a wedding, and I was very grateful for them allowing me to participate in theirs. It went well. Congratulations, David & Elspeth!
