Cousin Dave Gets Married!
Last Saturday our family had the joy of attending the wedding of David and Elspeth! Both have attended the same church for many years and have known each other ever since they can remember. It was a beautiful wedding!
Grandpa & Grandma Brannon and Aunt Evelyn drove up to Pennsylvania with us and made the trip quite enjoyable.
Dave and Elspeth had asked Daniel, Esther, Chris and I to do all the music for the wedding and we enjoyed it immensely!
We were blessed by Uncle Wayne and Aunt Judy’s wonderful hospitality amidst the added adventure of having their well suddenly go dry! With Uncle Wayne and Aunt Judy’s perseverance, Uncle Tim and Aunt Melba putting us up for one night, and a few showers down at the YMCA, we all survived the drought just fine. 🙂
Dave’s wedding causes me to reflect on all the fun memories I have of Dave growing up. We spent many fine summers together at Big Bear Lake Camplands, Sportsman’s Lake, our Grandparents home, Philadelphia, Yorktown, and many other memorable places. Through every escapade and adventure, Dave has proved to be a faithful and caring friend as well as a fun-loving competitor.
I am extremely happy for Dave as he starts this new chapter in his life. We pray the Lord’s rich blessing on him and Elspeth in the years ahead!
P.S. On the way home we stopped in Virginia and enjoyed a fantastic 20 hours with the Wilkes family!
This was the first time since I was around 6 or 7 that I had ever even attended a wedding, and I was very grateful for them allowing me to participate in theirs. It went well. Congratulations, David & Elspeth!
Oh, I enjoyed it so much. Nice to meet some more of Elspeth’s family.
We have finally gotten our film pictures developed. We’ll have to put a couple of them on the post here.
