Revival in Indianapolis!

Yesterday was the conclusion of the five-day Dad’s Conference here at the Indianapolis Training Center. Over five hundred fathers were here, including my Dad, who drove up with Mr. Wilkes. The spirit of revival that took place was incredible!{Dad's Conference} Over five hundred Dad's gathered in Indianapolis

The time that I got to spend with Dad while he was here was very meaningful! And the time the fathers spent together in prayer was powerful. Here is a short report that Dad wrote up:

“Following the openness, honesty, and brokenness of the men’s testimonies, we assembled in groups of three to five to pray for each other.

The same spirit came upon us that we had felt during the time of testimonies and I felt like I was entering into the heart of those I was praying for and with. Their needs became my needs and my needs became theirs. We poured out our heart for each other – our chairs were watered with tears for our brothers in Christ.

We were one in spirit and I arose from these times with greater love for my wife and children than I have ever known before.”

Praise the Lord for answered prayer!

We missed Dad over the week but are very glad the Lord worked it out that he could go. I can tell the spiritual encouragement and fellowship was meaningful for him. It has been so exciting to hear bits and pieces of what he learned at the conference!

In the picture, it’s a little hard to tell who’s who but Dad is about the 5th row up, 3rd person from the right. He’s wearing a suit and tie.

Amen! Holding the fort back here in WV while Dad was away, we also prayed often – for him and the others attending the conference. What a joy it was to hear when he returned the extent to which the Lord had answered our prayers, and to hear Dad expound on the vision he had caught there. Praise the Lord!

What a wonderful way to start off the year. I am excited about what you learned and can’t wait to get started!

Excellent account Robert. You captured the spirit of the event well in your post. After hearing about a couple obstacles that Dad and Mr. Staddon encountered along the way, I can see all the more clearly how important this weekend was. What a worthwhile investment it sounds like the conference was. To see 500 Dads willing to sacrifice a weekend of busy schedules for the sake of their families is inspiring! We have been eagerly drinking in just a few of the rich truths Dad learned up that way.
