I am thoroughly enjoying the work, training sessions, fellowship and snow! The most recent highlight was being able to volunteer at a local school! Praise the Lord! I wish I had pictures of that. Here are some shots from the past couple weeks that I do have:

A Lion in the Way
The verse that stood out to me on the morning that my brother Michael and I drove from Waxhaw to Marble for the North Carolina FEW Conference happened to be Proverbs 26:13: “The slothful man saith, ‘There is a lion in the way…’” In other words, instead of viewing obstacles as opportunities, a slothful person […]
What a Shock!
What a surprise that Dad, Mom, Donald and David were driving all day to be here and visit! You can’t get a more special birthday shock than that! We packed a lot of good memories into those four days. Let me share them with you: A few other shots from the past week or two:
An Evening at CEF IHQ
Time for an update from Missouri! The work here at CEF International Headquarters has been going splendidly. The 2014 CEF Calendar has been designed, the majority of pictures for each month have been chosen, the text explaining these pictures has been written up and the plan is to send it off for the first round […]
Sweet Fellowship at HQ!

Babysitting Sauntina!
It is such a joy to have an evening with Sauntina while Robert and Kendalyn are out on their date night. Last week Sauntina and I decided we would try making a video to capture all the fun we have. It’s not bad for a first attempt. For our sequel we plan to hire a […]
Winter Fun at HQ!
I love ice-skating! God has given such variety to enjoy! I have probably walked past the ponds here at Headquarters at least 300 times so getting a new perspective by actually being on top of a pond was a lot of fun. I stayed out with Elisabeth until almost dark and the moon was so […]
A Great Place to Celebrate Christmas!
Our family was invited to the home of the Stelzl family to celebrate the Christmas celebration of the birth of our Savior. I (Donna) especially enjoyed the hymn sing and testimony time with their small group on Sunday evening. Even though we were strangers to most of the group, we found it easy to interact […]
Merry Christmas!
“Christmas at our house is the best time of year!” It is a time of bright sunlight on glistening snow, of glowing candles, of scrum-dilly-licious treats, of making special things for special people, of peaceful serenity, of excited anticipation, of family reunions and singing and caroling and remembering. For most of us, it has never […]
Continuing a Christmas Tradition . . .
. . . decorating Christmas cookies! For as long as I can remember, we’ve decorated sugar cookies (with as much detail as possible!) at Christmastime as a family. It’s loads of fun, and it never ceases to amaze me that the creativity of one year seems to always surpass the creativity of the year before!
