Daniel, Jonathan and I are traveling with a great group to Nashville for the family conference! On the way we are listening to John C. Maxwell’s Leadership 101 – What Every Leader Needs to Know.

It was very practical and thought-provoking! Here are some things that stood out to me:

1. The first person you lead is you. Leadership requires discipline.

2. Identify the 20% that is giving you 80% of the results.

3. Say “no” to the good so you can say “yes” to the best.

4. Leaders last as long as they maintain trust.

5.You can love people without leading them but you can not lead people without loving them. You win people’s hearts by helping them grow personally.
