Niagara Falls-Canada Adventure Day 6

We could not believe it was already time to leave! The six days with the Van Essens had been full of fun and activity, and, as is the case any time you visit good friends of like faith, the time had 
flown by.
We were so thankful for the encouragement, fellowship, and hospitality the Van Essen family had shared with us, along with a glimpse of the beauty and majesty of Ontario.
But as we packed up the van and said our final farewells, we had one last adventure to look forward to. 
Just before crossing the border into the United States, we stopped to see Niagara Falls. As we approached we could hear the thunder of the water crashing over the falls in the distance. Drawing 
nearer, the magnificent view opened up before us, and we soon understood why this is such a popular tourist attraction. 
We made sure to get a family picture since all 10 of us were there.
Our entire family being together and the drenching spray, cool steady breeze, and breath-taking view all combined to provide a spectacular climax to a fabulous family vacation!
It was a great time. The pictures were great too, James. The best thing was that we were all together.
The thing I remember most was probably how challenging it was to get good pictures amidst the constant presence of wind driven spray! But every-once-in-a-while the wind would die down and I could bring out my camera and shoot until the lens was again covered in tiny droplets of water. I was grateful for a high-quality, weather resistant camera!
The whole trip was so much fun! I’m very grateful for each person who worked so diligently to make such a wonderful excursion successful. From my perspective, and from a camera’s perspective, it was successful indeed!

Truly memorable! I remember looking up once into the sky, facing directly into the spray. As it blew over you and the next billow came into view, it felt that you were in an airplane, winging your way through the clouds.

Donald, I’ve never flown in an airplane, but I can easily see how the blowing mist would be similar to flying through clouds. Wasn’t the spray incredible?!
I agree, Mom! The best part was being together as a family. “How good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.” Praise the Lord for such a wonderful trip!
